REIKI (pronounced “ray key”) is a Japanese word that means “Universal life energy.”  Reiki is an ancient hands-on healing art that was rediscovered by Japanese Buddhist & Christian scholar of theology Dr. Mikao Usui. Reiki is a clothes-on energy healing method that involves placing the hands on or just above the body to provide balance & bring healing energy to areas of the body. The practitioner, trained to access & serve as a channel for the life force energy, uses a technique similar to the “laying on of hands” method in which clients may experience a warmth or tingling feeling. The hands remain in position for several minutes, alternately covering 10-12 positions over the body

From an energy medicine point of view, Reiki assists in creating a shift in the energy field around the client to aid in dissolving or eliminating toxic energy & substances from many levels of one’s being (i.e., physical, emotional, or mental). Reiki works to strengthen the harmonic flow of energy within the body, having a positive effect on all forms of illness & negative conditions. This includes minor things like head or stomachaches, bee stings, colds, flu, tension, & anxiety as well as serious illness like heart disease, cancer, leukemia, etc. The side effects of regular medical treatments have also been reduced or eliminated. This includes the negative effects of chemotherapy, post-operative pain & depression as well as improving the healing rate & reducing the time needed to stay in the hospital. Reiki always helps & in some cases people have experienced complete healings that have been confirmed by medical tests before & after the Reiki treatments. However, while some have experienced miracles, they cannot be guaranteed. Stress reduction with some improvement in ones physical & psychological condition are what most experience.

Reiki Level I Certification Training:  Date: to be announced from 9-5 pm. In this course, you will learn the Reiki hand positions, applications of Reiki, Reiki scanning methods, & receive attunement as a Usui/Tibetan Level I Practitioner.  You will also gain knowledge about how to apply this healing modality as a practitioner & prepare yourself for a healing session.  You will experience Reiki healing energy through class practice & gain confidence to use Reiki for yourself, others, situations, animals, etc.  Cost:  $175 if you pre-register by February 13, 2016; $200 thereafter — includes manual & certificate of completion.

Reiki Level II Certification Training:  Date: to be announced from 9-5 pm.   Once you complete your Reiki Level I certification (even through another teacher), this is a wonderful opportunity to take your Reiki practice to the next level.  In this training, you will review the methods learned in Reiki I, the Reiki Power symbol, the Mental/Emotional symbol, & the Distance Healing symbol  — with details of how to expand your healing practice, uses of the symbols, etc., & receive the attunement as a Usui/Tibetan Level II Practitioner.  You will also experience Reiki healing energy through class practice. .  Cost:  $200 if you pre-register by April 8, 2016; otherwise, $225 — includes manual (if you are a new student), certificate of completion, & other materials.

Advanced Reiki Level III Certification Training: Date: to be announced from 9-5 pm.  Reiki Level II is prerequisite.  The early registration cost of the Reiki Level III class is $225 early registration; $250 after early registration deadline. Reiki Level III, is a one-day intensive that includes:

• The Usui Master attunement that increases the strength of your Reiki energy.
• The Usui Master symbol that increases the effectiveness of the Reiki II symbols & can be used for healing.
• Alternative Reiki symbols that come from other Reiki systems.
• Reiki meditation that strengthens the mind & expands the consciousness.
• Advanced techniques for using Reiki to solve problems & achieve goals.
• Using Reiki to protect yourself & others.
• The use of crystals & stones with Reiki.
• How to make a Reiki grid that will continue to send Reiki to yourself & others after it is charged.
• Reiki aura clearing that allows you to remove negative psychic energy from yourself & others & send it to the light.
• A guided meditation appropriate for the energies of the year.
• Includes a 19 page Advanced Reiki manual & other supplementary materials.

Master Teacher Level IV Certification Training:  Date:  To Be Announced + 2 co-teaching apprenticeship classes required.  Please call 303-241-3343 for details. The cost is $350 – pre-registration; $375 after preregistration deadline.  In the Reiki Master Teacher training, you will: learn new symbols, how to perform attunements, go deeper into the values & spiritual orientation of a true Reiki Master, & be introduced to teaching all levels of Reiki.  Includes manual, supplementary materials, & certificate of completion after apprenticeship is complete.

Class sizes are limited.  A $50 non-refundable deposit per class or full registration fee is required to save your space in class.  Must be pre-paid by the above due dates for early registration discount.  However, if an unavoidable situation occurs, preventing your attendance on the date in which you are registered, your deposit or full registration fee may be applied to the next scheduled Reiki class.  Location of all classes: North Golden, CO. 

Teacher:  Anita Boehm M.S. is an Integrative Energy Body Therapist – certified Master Teacher Level Reiki practitioner, Level IV Huna Kane,  & Level II BO-SSAGE who is well-versed in a variety of therapeutic modalities that she employs in her practice.  She is also a Breathing Practitioner who assesses & trains people to breathe more mindfully to overcome physiological responses that overbreathing can create (i.e., emotional, perceptual, cognitive, attention, behavioral, & physical deficits that may seriously impact health & performance).  She is also a certified Level III Qigong instructor & Workshop Facilitator trained to teach Qigong exercise forms, facilitate & teach healing breathwork techniques, & a food-based healing system.  She is also a PSIA Level 3 Telemark & Level 2 Alpine ski instructor.  Anita’s education background includes a M.S. in Environmental Health (Colorado State University (CSU)), B.S. in Geology (University of Michigan), & secondary science teacher certification (CSU).
